The health of our staff and guests is extremely important to us, so we have worked diligently to establish the necessary protocols to acquire COVID-19 Certification to once again invite you into our home.
There are still restrictions on tourists. For instance, tourists may only go to Covid-certified activities and properties, but that list grows as more places get certified. A partial list of certified activities includes diving, boat tours, Diamond waterfalls and gardens, and the Gros Piton hike.

Come and see what makes St Lucia so special
Soufriere is the heart of St Lucia, with the iconic Pitons rising up from the deep blue Caribbean sea and the best snorkeling, diving, and other outdoor activities on the island. You won’t bump into a lot of other tourists, as there are just a few resorts and villas dotting the nearby hillsides, tucked into the rainforest. The village of Soufriere is fairly small with a few stores and restaurants and bars. It’s the perfect blend of options – lots of activities and adventures, or just restore your soul with the serenity of the scenery and the sea.
The “touristy” part of St Lucia is Rodney Bay in the north. It’s a great choice if your ideal vacation is lazing on the beach with a cold drink, and wandering in and out of bars and restaurants.
The two parts of the island are a 90-120 minute drive apart on a tortuous and twisty road. So we suggest you decide what your ideal vacation is, and “stay where you want to play”. Contact us if you need help deciding.
great sea and land activities
Are you adventurous? Dive the depths of the sea, climb the heights of mountains – or do both! Zipline. Ride ATVs or horses or mountain bikes through plantation ruins. Go deep-sea fishing.
Or do you prefer something more relaxing? Tour a cocoa plantation. Visit a drive-in volcano and mud baths. Search for dolphins on a catamaran. Snorkel. Relax on a beach. Or just float in the pool and enjoy the view.
We hope you enjoy this short video that some past guests made of their vacation.

an uncommon vacation rental
Most vacation rentals make you do and supply everything yourself. Not at Villa Grand Piton! At our home, we include almost everything you need in the rate, including the use of our “adventure gear” (beach chairs, snorkel equipment, etc.) and housekeeping.
Cooking, driving and masseuse services are available. Our cook even offers a meal plan.
We also allow children (many accommodations in the area don’t). We have child-sized snorkel gear and some child-appropriate games and movies. (Ages 5+, please, for safety reasons.)
Think of us as a private hotel – we do!
an uncommonly beautiful vacation rental
We’ve got million-dollar views, and we’ve worked hard to make the villa live up to those. The villa is bright and open and airy, with high ceilings and lots of space in every room. It’s “open-air”, with the interior walls not going to the ceiling and no glass over the windows. Instead, the windows are covered with heavy wooden louvers that you can adjust to capture the breeze from the adjacent rainforest.
Over the past few years, we’ve replaced, repaired, renovated, or refreshed nearly 90% of the furnishings. Beds from Pottery Barn, elegant curved desks from Grandin Road, pillows and floats from Frontgate, Kingsley-Bate teak outdoor furniture, custom-finished accent tables, dining chairs from Ballard Designs, even a custom-made hickory and iron dining table all grace our home. You won’t find my grandma’s old dishes in our cupboards – it’s pure white bone china and real crystal wineglasses.
You’ll feel right at home from the first moment you set foot in the house.

outdoor living at its best
St Lucia weather is perfect for outdoor living. Days filled with sunshine and warm nights with infinitely-starry skies and the breeze rustling in the leaves will entice you to spend your entire vacation outside.
Our outdoor space is perfect to do just that! The best view of the Pitons on the island. Incredible sunsets over the Caribbean. Double rainbows, sailboats, cruise ships, yachts and even a “pirate” ship all passing by.
Our spacious pool has foam floats and six chaise lounges surrounding it for sunning. Use the lounges after dark to watch for shooting stars, marvel at the Milky Way, or just be astounded at the number of stars you can see in the inky-black sky.
We have a covered back deck with side tables and chairs to just relax and have a beverage. And there’s a spacious covered gazebo with a large table and chairs for dining or just enjoying the view or the company of your loved ones.
places to eat and shop
There are numerous restaurants within a short drive from us – from food trucks to fine dining.
In the nearby village of Soufriere, there is a small grocery which carries a limited selection of alcoholic beverages, a bakery, a butcher, an art/coffee shop, and a daily open-air market for fruits, vegetables, and fresh fish. Soufriere also has a pharmacy, a small souvenir shop and some other small shops. Soufriere’s stores serve mostly the locals, so there are only a few shops dedicated to tourists.
More extensive shopping is available further away. There is not much duty-free shopping on St Lucia.
perfect for a DXpedition
